WIP Wednesday: the one with quilt shops!

WIP Wednesday at Freshly Pieced

Quilter's Progress!

Eternity Quilt

Laid out and labelled!

Eternity Quilt: laying and labelling

A close up!

And put into piles so they weren't taking up the entire living room floor!

Eternity quilt:organised piles.to be sewn next week!

There are 8 pieces of fabric for every colour - and I'm fairly sure I've managed to end up with 209 colours and labels, even if I haven't precisely checked every one. Most 'tiles' of the Eternity puzzle are made up of 8 pieces of fabric, although a few are 7 and a few are 9.

So this week I have to get it all out, lay it out again, and start sorting out which piece goes where...and which colours need another piece cut!

And then comes the sewing...

Yeah, I’m sure I didn't need my brain anyway...

Still To Do

Wicked Blog Hop

I've joined in with the Wicked Blog Hop next week in a lead-up to Halloween, and I have to get that done because I put it off and put it off and put it off and now...there's no more time to put it off! ARGH!

But I hope it will be awesome. :)

In other news, I was in Melbourne over the weekend, and Ballarat the first half of this week!

In Melbourne, I found a rather neat shop up in Brunswick, called 'GJs Fabric Shop':

Mmm. Fabric.

Lots of lovely fabric, mostly modern lines, although there were some shelves of batiks and more traditional fabrics, too!

While in Ballarat, I naturally visited the Ballarat Quilt Shop, of course, and also made a quick trip in to Eureka Patchwork just down the road. It's not a 'modern quilt shop' but it had some lovely rich ranges - a lot of the really rich Robert Kaufmans which tend to catch my eye and which I have no idea what to do with once I have them in my collection!

But I bought some fabric from there anyway. :)

Eureka Patchwork Ballarat

Not a lot of progress this week, but there'll undoubtedly be more next week! :)

Have a good one, and check out the linky party over at Freshly Pieced!
